RootsMagic provides the options to move or copy a fact from one person to another.  These functions can be found in the Edit Person form by clicking the Options (3 dot) menu.

 

Moving a fact

To move a fact:

1.Open the edit person form

2.Highlight the fact

3.Click the Options button and select "Move selected fact"

4.Select the person you want to move the fact to from the RootsMagic Explorer.

The fact will be removed from the current person and added to the newly selected person.

 

Copying a fact

To copy a fact:

1.Open the edit person form

2.Highlight the fact

3.Click the Options button and select "Copy selected fact"

4.Select the person you want to move the fact to from the RootsMagic Explorer.  Unlike moving a fact, you can copy a fact to more than one person at a time (if you want).  Just select any people you want to copy the fact to, and RootsMagic will copy the fact to everyone selected.

The fact will remain with the current person, and will added to each selected person.
