When you create a new book template, RootsMagic will store that template so you can access it at any time. This is especially useful for keeping your printed books up to date. As you add new people, or modify existing people in your file, you can simply come back to your book template and re-generate the book and it will automatically include the new information you have entered in your file.

You can access the book templates you have created by selecting "Manage Books" from the Publish page. RootsMagic will slide in a list of all the books you've created for this file.

To edit or generate a book, select the book from the list and RootsMagic will open the book template in Publisher. You can then edit or generate the book in exactly the same way as when you originally created it.

You can also rename, delete, or make a copy of a book using the buttons to the right of each book's name in the list.

Note: When you create a book template, it is stored in the current database since the chapters you add are specific to people in the current database. For example, a pedigree chart for John Doe, or a narrative book for Mary Smith would not work properly in another database.
