RootsMagic 12 will run on the following operating systems.

The Windows and Mac versions provide the same functionality, including all supported import formats. You do not need to choose a separate download based on whether you need a particular import feature. The Windows installer includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and installs the appropriate version for your computer. The Mac download contains native code for both Intel (x64) and Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs. It will automatically run the right version for your Mac—no Rosetta needed.
Every download will run as RootsMagic Essentials until a license key is entered to unlock the full version. Each version of RootsMagic will run independent of each other. Previous versions of RootsMagic do not need to be uninstalled before installing this version. Different versions can be run at the same time since they use different database files. If you later decide to uninstall an earlier version of RootsMagic it will not hurt your current RootsMagic program.
Installing the program and opening your family tree are separate steps. Keep a backup of your existing tree before opening it in a new major version. Do not assume a tree opened or converted by a newer version can be reopened in an older version.
