The Set living" command lets you set (or clear) the "Living" flag for a group of people at once.

 

To access Set Living, select the People page, then select Tools > Set Living from the menu.

 

 

Simply choose whether to set the "Living" flag to true or false then click the "OK" button. RootsMagic will bring up the select people dialog for you to choose which people to set the living flag for.

Review the selected people

Make a backup before changing many Living flags, then inspect the selected names before applying the change. An unknown death date does not by itself establish that someone is living; use your research when deciding the flag.

After the change, check a few affected people. Reports and exports have their own living-person privacy choices, so review those settings before sharing. Changing the flag does not create a death fact or delete existing facts.
