The source list contains the sources in the current database. Open Sources in the main navigation. Select a row to display its source editor; click the row's Citations count to open that source's saved citations.

Identify the correct source
Source Name helps you find a source in RootsMagic lists. It can be a short name you recognize, rather than the full title printed in a citation. Use the pencil in the heading to rename it. To correct a title printed in a citation, change the Title under Master Source instead. Check publication details when two sources have similar names.
Citations counts how many citations you have saved for the source. It does not count the people or facts using them. Open Source Used in the links section to see those. A source can be saved here before you add any of its citations to a person.
Add and manage sources
Choose Add > Add using SourceWizard for guided entry, or Add > Add new source manually to select a type yourself. See SourceWizard and Adding a source.
Use Editing a source for corrections and Citation List for working with the individual references. The source list's Tools menu includes copying, merging, conversion, and printing commands; see Sources Page.
To document a particular fact, begin in Edit Person or attach a saved citation there using Cite existing. Creating a source in this list alone does not connect it to a person.
To print a list of sources, see Source List report.
