When publishing a book, RootsMagic can also include sources and indexes for any chapters that support them. Simply edit the report settings for a chapter to have them include sources, or to be included in the index. Settings under Layout, Appearance and References are universal for the book.

Verify the assembled book

Check the settings of each chapter that should contribute names, places, or sources. Then create the whole book and check its indexes and bibliography, as well as each chapter. If something is missing from an index, check that the relevant chapter is set to include it.

Regenerate the book after changing chapters or report settings so that page references reflect the new layout. If you later edit an exported document in a word processor, check its references again after that editing.
