Use Addresses for people, families, and other contacts. Use Repositories for places or organizations that hold your sources, such as a library, archive, or website. Adding a repository to a source helps you remember where you found it.

Add and reuse a contact

1. Open the Addresses page and choose Addresses or Repositories.

2. Add an entry, giving it a recognizable name and the contact information you have.

3. Open the person, family, or source and choose the address or repository you saved. Adding an entry to the main Addresses list does not automatically add it to a person or source.

4. If an address changes, edit the existing entry. First open Used to check everyone who uses it. For example, correcting one family address changes it for all the people who use that address.

If you have entered the same address twice, compare the entries and use Merge duplicate addresses to combine them. Delete an entry only when you no longer need it.

To print, choose Address List, Address Labels, or Repository List. Check any personal contact details before sharing the report.
