Rearranging a Person's Spouses

 

1.Highlight the person with more than one spouse in any of the people views.

2.In the side list, click the word "Spouses", then click the "Rearrange" button

3.You can arrange the spouses in one of 3 ways:

oUse your mouse to highlight the spouse you want to move and drag the spouse to the desired location before releasing the mouse button.

oClick the "Move up" or "Move down" buttons to change the spouse’s position.

oClick the "Sort by marriage date" button to have RootsMagic automatically sort the spouses for you, if marriage dates have been entered.

4.Click OK to save the new order, or Cancel to exit without saving any changes.

 

Rearranging Spouses for All People

RootsMagic offers a way to rearrange the spouses for everyone in your file.  Because this will sort every spouse without a marriage date to the top, you may want to make a backup of your file before running this.
